The Final Bloom — Selling Down at Avantgarden

As we begin the final weeks at Avantgarden, I’ve found myself reflecting on this incredible journey—one that blossomed from a dream into a vibrant community space filled with color, creativity, and connection.

Selling down our inventory has been bittersweet. Each item that finds a new home holds a story—of how we chose it, displayed it, or watched someone fall in love with it. Watching the shelves slowly clear has brought a strange mix of pride and sadness. It’s like watching a garden fade in the fall—beautiful, necessary, and tinged with nostalgia.

We’ve laughed with regulars who have supported us from the beginning and shared hugs with new visitors who wish they’d discovered us sooner. Every “I’ll miss this place” has been met with gratitude and a quiet ache. The support, the memories, and the sense of community you’ve all brought into our store have filled our hearts to the brim.

Behind the scenes, it’s been a whirlwind—sorting, planning, packing, and letting go. Getting ready to close our doors isn’t just about moving boxes; it’s about closing a chapter. But like all gardeners know, with every ending comes the promise of something new.

Though the storefront at 1085 High Street is coming to a close, Avantgarden is not going away. We’re simply evolving. You’ll still find us online at www.avantgardenauburn.com, and we’re dreaming up pop-up events, creative workshops, and maybe even a mobile shop down the road.

For now, we’re open a few more weeks, still restocking succulents and offering deals on our products and fixtures. If there’s something you’ve had your eye on, or if you just want to come by for one last visit—we’d love to see you.

Thank you for growing this dream with us.

With love and gratitude,

Diana
